The 2016 ATA Show started with a bang today as Bowtech Archery and Bear Archery unveiled their new products at the show’s start. Bear turned a lot of heads by releasing their new line of highly-advanced crossbows – the Fisix FFL, Torrix FFL, the Bruzer FFL, and the Fortus, 4 new crossbows with increasingly more features on each model. Bowtech made a lot of buzz by announcing their 2016 bows with the help of Eva and Jim Shockey, and for icing on the cake, they gave those new bows to a few lucky attendees.
But even massive events such as those still couldn’t overshadow all the amazing things happening here in Kentucky. Every corner of the show floor held another row of incredible products and people. It’s clear that 2016 will be a strong year for the archery industry. Everything, it seems, is getting lighter, faster, cleaner and better all-around.
The archery industry is uniting as one, understanding that we are all in this together, and that that unity is ultimately what will help us grow.
The air was also rich with generosity with giveaway on top of giveaway. Everything from hats to posters to new flagship bows were up for grabs. But what’s even more important, as we all know, is the deep friendship that runs through the veins of this industry. Smiling faces and old friends were surely not in short supply. Inside Archery and Bowhunt America Publisher Sherry Krenz loved getting to see some of her long time friends, partly thanks to Mathews joining us at the show again.
All in all it was an amazing day, but we’ll just have to see what tomorrow has in store.
