Putting in the effort during the preseason is the best way to “make your own luck” when the season rolls around. One of the main aspects of this is creating shooting lanes that suit a wide variety of shooting opportunities, and Hooyman Saws was created to provide hunters with a tool perfect for that job. Hooyman saws are made from premium high carbon steel and aircraft grade aluminum, and they were designed to reach branches that other saws could not, cut those branches more efficiently, and remain lightweight and durable all the while.
Inside Archery spoke with Kyle Smith of Battenfeld Technologies, Hooyman Saw’s parent company, to learn more about this unique and respectable brand. We learned that Hooyman Saws, originally founded in 2008 by Andrew Hooyman, caught Battenfeld’s eye with a unique product and respectable consumer-following. Hooyman managed to develop an adjustable, durable, and lightweight tree saw that functioned as an extendible saw and a folding saw. Since the acquisition, Battenfeld has been able to expand on this innovative device, and add more products to the lineup. All-in-all this is a brand worth keeping an eye on as Battenfeld continues to help it thrive, and keep Hooyman in mind the next time you need to trim some shooting lanes.
