Target archery is steadily increasing in popularity, especially in the younger generations.

Youth in extracurricular activities are crucial for the development in children. It allows them to gain better social-emotional security and provides a safe environment for growth preventing bad habits they may be exposed to otherwise. It can improve physical development, growth mindset, mental toughness, self-confidence, goal setting and social skills. It builds a sense of teamwork, sportsmanship and goal setting.

Archery is an excellent sport for children to get into because it is fun and can benefit the whole family. Youth archery participation is steadily increasing and that’s the way we want to keep it.

There are a lot of corporations that support youth archery participation including USA Archery’s JOAD program, NASP, NFAA, and more. Archery pro shops around the country also help support youth archers by hosting youth classes, leagues and some even support school archery teams and programs to help more children get involved with the sport. Find a program that is near you and get your little ones involved today. It is a fun activity for the whole family and excellently benefits the young archer involved.

Get your young ones involved to day by visiting USA Archery’s website, NASP’s website or NFAA’s website.
