The National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP®) is honored to mark a significant milestone with the Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s Outdoor Fund, surpassing $1 million in grants, invested in youth archery, outdoor education, and conservation-focused programming.

For more than a decade, the Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s Outdoor Fund has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to NASP®’s mission to introduce students of all backgrounds to archery through school-based programs that build confidence, focus, and lifelong connections to the outdoors. This latest grant reflects the continued dedication to supporting students, educators, and communities through meaningful access to archery in schools.

“Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s has long been a leader in connecting families to the outdoors, and we are deeply grateful for its continued support of NASP®,” said NASP® President Tommy Floyd. “This investment helps ensure students across the country have the opportunity to experience archery in a safe, structured, and educational environment, creating access for students who may not otherwise have a familial pathway into outdoor recreation.”

NASP® gratefully acknowledges Bass Pro Shops founder and noted conservationist Johnny Morris for his continued belief in programs that connect youth with the outdoors. His leadership and longstanding support of conservation-focused education reflect a shared understanding that early, positive experiences — like archery in schools — can inspire responsibility, stewardship, and a lasting connection to the natural world.

“We’re proud to stand alongside our customers in supporting the National Archery in the Schools Program. It makes us all very happy to help more kids discover the joy of archery and build a lifelong connection to the outdoors,” said Johnny Morris.

NASP® also extends sincere appreciation to Bass Pro Shops customers who support the Outdoor Fund by rounding up their purchases at the register and online. These efforts and resources dedicated to support conservation have helped NASP® direct resources for school support as it purchases archery equipment and introduces students to a lifetime sport rooted in focus, responsibility, and conservation values.

“This support allows NASP® and our state partners to place archery equipment directly into schools,” said NASP® Vice President Jeff Rawlinson. “That first experience with a bow often becomes a student’s first step toward conservation, outdoor recreation, and a lifelong appreciation for the natural world.”

The Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s Outdoor Fund has a long and storied history of supporting programs like NASP®, helping schools access archery equipment and giving students meaningful opportunities to engage in outdoor recreation and conservation.

With the continued support of the Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s Outdoor Fund, NASP® remains focused on expanding access to archery in schools, serving millions of students, and helping educators provide inclusive, impactful outdoor education experiences for years to come.

Bear Archery is expanding its digital presence with the launch of newly redesigned websites for Gold Tip and Bee Stinger. The updated platforms give archers and bowhunters a more modern, user-friendly way to explore products, learn about new technology, and connect with two recognizable names in the archery industry.

The new Gold Tip website showcases the brand’s lineup of hunting and target arrows with improved navigation and a cleaner overall design. Visitors can browse arrow specifications, compare products, and learn more about the engineering behind Gold Tip’s carbon arrow technology. The site is designed to help both experienced shooters and beginners quickly find equipment that fits their shooting style and performance goals.

Bee Stinger’s new website delivers a similar upgrade, focusing on a streamlined experience for archers looking for stabilizers, counter slides, and vibration reduction systems. The refreshed layout makes it easier to explore products built to improve bow balance and shot consistency. Educational content and detailed product information also help shooters better understand how stabilization systems can impact accuracy in the field or on the range.

The launch of both websites reflects Bear Archery’s continued investment in growing its family of archery brands. By creating updated online platforms, the company is making it easier for customers to research gear, discover new products, and stay connected with the latest innovations in archery equipment.

Gold Tip and Bee Stinger have both earned strong reputations among hunters and competitive archers over the years. Gold Tip is widely known for durable, precision-built arrows, while Bee Stinger has become a trusted name in stabilization technology used by shooters across multiple disciplines.

With the introduction of these redesigned websites, Bear Archery is helping modernize the online experience for both brands while continuing to support the archery community with high-performance equipment and accessible product information.

Since its founding in 2004, Last Chance Archery has been a company driven by innovation, fair, affordable pricing, and customer satisfaction.

LCA’s Mission Statement

“We are a faith-based, family-owned, and operated manufacturing business passionate about innovation. We will deliver world-class customer service and manufacture high-quality, fairly priced, innovative products for the outdoor community.”

Founded by Leon Pittman, an Air Force Veteran, Last Chance Archery is now partially owned by his daughter, Wendy Clark, whose husband, Chris, and their children, Cody, Justin, Jonathan, Evan, Grace, and Elijah, all work side by side in the business.

The company has seen consistent annual growth since the early years, when the only product was a bow press. Which happens to be the industry’s only patented bow press. The key to LCA’s bow press technology is how the press compresses with limb tip fingers, so that when you’re pressing the bow, it presses exactly as if the bow is being drawn back, avoiding additional stress on the limbs or the riser. LCA holds the only limb tip compression patents for bow presses, period. Today, LCA manufactures 15 unique versions of a bow press, 60+ bow press accessory attachments, and an additional 150+ archery products that are there to make your life as an archer easier. From bow presses and attachments to arrow building tools and arrow wraps, we have you covered. If it involves building or tuning “any” archery equipment, we have the tools for you.

While product designs have changed and the portfolio of products offered has grown, several things have remained at the core of everything Last Chance does.

More than anything else, our company-wide belief is to honor our customers. To do that, we strive to engineer and manufacture the most innovative, high-quality products. We seek to produce these products and deliver them to market at a fair and affordable price.

As our company has grown, so has our commitment to industry education and to introducing youth to our sport. Over the years, nearly the entire family has attended and competed in tournaments across the country through various organizations. The LCA trailer, booth, and Fix-It Station have been a fixture at these events for years. Helping archers in need tune, repair, and save their weekend with the correct tools on site when the unexpected happens.

In our effort to continually deliver new and improved products to the sport of archery, LCA has a dedicated R&D department with specialized machinery to support new product development. There’s an ongoing list of new products that the team works on 365 days a year.

In 2025, we made a significant investment in redesigning and upgrading the Last Chance Archery website. For our customers, the new website is much more user-friendly and offers improved functionality. On the back end, the new website provides tools we use to more accurately track orders and fill them more rapidly. The site allows international purchases with accurate shipping quotes and makes it easy for dealers to log in and order with dealer-specific pricing.

As our company continues to grow, our focus and our mission will never change. Our customers are the reason we are in business, and we will do whatever is needed to provide the most innovative products at the best price, always in a friendly and professional way.

If you don’t know us, pick up the phone and give us a call just to say hi. If you are one of our loyal customers, thank you. We are grateful for your business.

Whitetails Unlimited Grants More Than $800,000 During Q1

Whitetails Unlimited recently granted $841,768 to various mission-related projects during the first quarter of 2026. These grants fall within Whitetails Unlimited’s four pillar programs: Outdoor Education, Hunting Preservation, Habitat Enhancement, and Shooting Sports Advancement. WTU’s DEER (Developing Educational and Environmental Resources) Program, which focuses on facilitating the education of youth and their families to the great outdoors, expended the greatest amount of grants, followed by the Preserving the Hunting Tradition Program.

Education is a top priority for Whitetails Unlimited. The DEER Program consists of organizational initiatives and activities such as events, activities, and educational elements that expose participants to conservation, fishing, hunting, shooting, wildlife management, and environmental education. As an advocate of hunter safety, Whitetails Unlimited is also at the forefront of providing support to hunter education and shooting instructors.

About Whitetails Unlimited:

Since our beginning in 1982, Whitetails Unlimited has remained true to its mission and has made great strides in the field of conservation. Thanks to more than 475 chapters, 120,000-plus members, chapter volunteers, and corporate sponsors, Whitetails Unlimited has earned the reputation of being the nation’s premier organization dedicating its resources to the betterment of the white-tailed deer and its environment. Our mission is to raise funds in support of educational programs, wildlife habitat enhancement and acquisition, and preservation of the shooting sports and hunting tradition for future generations. To date, Whitetails Unlimited has expended more than $159.3 million on program services and activities that continue to enhance, and ultimately foster, our mission.
Two young archers fought their way into the top 10 of the 57th USA Archery Indoor Nationals rankings over the weekend, while there were changes among the medal positions of JOAD Indoor Nationals.

One final round of competition remains before national champions are crowned, with Michigan, Mississippi and Virginia hosting across next weekend.

Grace Joung and Taylor Cho – both competing in Fiskdale, Ma. – shot the same score of 1147 in the recurve U18 women’s category. This proved enough for third and fourth in the overall national rankings, behind Olympians Casey Kaufhold (1172) and Catalina GNoriega (1162). Joung finished ahead of Cho on the tiebreak of having hit more 10s.

In recurve men, Jack Williams (library picture above) slid into the silver medal position with his score of 1180 in Chula Vista, Calif. Williams was level with leader Brady Ellison heading into his fourth and final round.

In the compound division, Dewey Hathaway scored 1192 in Fiskdale that now sees him settled in fourth overall, one point and one place better off than Caleb Quiocho, who was in action in Chula Vista these past few days in compound U21 men.

Barebow men saw one change among the top 10, as Jeffrey Daniels took seventh place with 1077 in Fiskdale.

There was a little more movement in barebow women. Erin Hollom came within three points of current gold medalist Ava Jones with her score of 1084 in Rockford, Mn. Medina Otajagic (1054) occupies the bronze position after her performance in Massachusetts, while Desneiges Gdalman sits seventh with 1012 in Wheaton, Ill., and Melanie Duarte lies 10th following 1004 in Fiskdale, also.

There will not be a USA Archery Indoor Nationals Final in 2026, but rather prize money will be distributed based on the final combined results from all Indoor Nationals locations for each gender and division (bow type). Previously, prize money has been for those in the top six. For 2026, there will be prize money for the top 10.

There were changes among the medalists in the JOAD Indoor Nationals, notably in recurve U21 men where Jacob Lanahan (578) replaced Chanyoung Mun (577) as the new leader, and Grace Joung (581) took over at the top in recurve U18 women, overtaking long-time front-runner Camryn St. Clair (575).

In recurve U15 men, two new names now sit in the gold and silver medal positions. Jaden Phan leads the way after shooting 587 in Fiskdale on Friday, with Ethan Chong – at the same indoor range – hitting 578. Elsewhere, Allison Huang claimed the bronze medal spot in recurve U15 women with a score of 576 in Chula Vista.

There are also positional changes in recurve U13. Ethan Tang is the new name in third in the men’s division, with Iris Lee now enjoying a considerable advantage in U13 women following a score of 571 – some 23 points ahead of second-placed Ryley Sheu, the previous leader.

Caleb Quiocho is the new leader in compound U21 men, Miranda Meighen sits top by two points in compound U15 women, while there are new names occupying the gold and bronze positions in compound U13 men. Wanli Chen is 24 points clear with a fine display in Rockford, with Grant Gibson sitting third.

Medina Otajagic and Angela Sang are now first and third in barebow U18 women, Brantley Lachecki has taken over the silver spot in barebow U15 men, while Anna Li is the new leader in barebow U13 women.

There was also a shuffling of the pack within the fixed pins division. Isaac Mayer lies third in U21 men, Jack Moorhouse now leads the standings in U18 men – just one point clear of Benjamin Corey and Eli Lien, with Rebecca Dillow taking over second place in U18 women.

Strong scores emerged in fixed pins U15 women, as Georgia Glitsos and Chloe Lee both finished on 546, which was good enough for second and third respectively.

STRASSEN, Luxembourg – The GT Open – the second stop on the Indoor World Series circuit – brought silver to the archer soon to be pulling on the jersey for the United States, Stephan Hansen.

Hansen is part of the United States Archery Team (USAT) for 2026 in the compound men’s division and will compete in the Archery World Cup stages alongside the likes of James Lutz, Louis Price and Sawyer Sullivan.

The 30-year-old was in Luxembourg this past weekend as the 2026 Indoor Archery World Series picked up pace with the second of seven events.

He took silver in compound men after a shoot-off loss to Kushal Dulal (IND). Both archers had finished with 148. A shoot-off victory in the semifinals secured a shot at gold for Hansen. He got the better of Mathias Fullerton after both fired perfect 150s.

Elsewhere, Gaius Carter took joint fifth, with Braden Gellenthien and Lutz finishing ninth.

Casey Kaufhold narrowly missed out on a medal, finishing fourth in recurve women. She was the model of consistency in her semifinal, firing five rounds of 29, only to be edged 6-4 by eventual gold medalist Elia Canales (ESP). She lost by the same scoreline in the bronze medal match to Fleur Van De Ven (NED).

It was a similar story for Nicholas D’Amour, who took ninth in recurve men. Despite hitting 29 on every end, he went out at the 1/8 stage to Karsten Stichler (GER) 6-4.

The Indoor Archery World Series moves on to Asia for the third event, with the Taipei Archery Open taking place the first week of December.

Archers from the United States wishing to compete in the Indoor World Series events will be required to have a current USA Archery membership.

USA Archery membership not only grants you access to register for the Indoor Archery World Series but also connects you with a nationwide network of events, programs, and resources that help you grow as an archer.

Whether you’re chasing world rankings or just beginning your competition journey, USA Archery membership opens the door to opportunity.

USA Archery is proud to announce an exciting change that will further empower our State Associations beginning in 2026. After extensive evaluation, member feedback, and consideration of input received from a State Association Task Force regarding the strengths and challenges State Associations face, USA Archery will transition from the current rebate model to a new annual grant funding model. Grant funding may be used for event development, operations, and sport development—helping states expand opportunities for archers of all ages and skill levels.

This change represents a major step forward in how USA Archery supports its State Associations and the athletes, coaches, judges, and clubs they serve. “State Associations are vital partners in delivering state championship events and other support for our members at every level,” commented USA Archery Chief of Sport Performance and Operations, Mary Emmons. “Together, we can build stronger programs, expand opportunities for participation, and ensure the long-term success of archery in every community.”

The quarterly rebate model, while valuable, often resulted in fluctuating and unpredictable funding and didn’t require more thorough planning. The new grant program addresses these challenges by providing State Associations with annualized, lump-sum grant payments at the start of each year, enabling earlier planning and expanded opportunities for membership growth, event development, and sport advancement.

Grant allocations will not only provide the opportunity to match but may exceed the rebate model funding levels, with added financial incentives for states that pursue new initiatives, grow membership, and expand event offerings.

To make the most of these opportunities, State Associations will share an annual plan and budget—a new step that ensures resources are used transparently and strategically and supports sustained success for years to come. USA Archery believes this change reflects the shared values of increased accountability and forward planning and innovation that are essential for long-term growth.

Through this new program, USA Archery hopes State Associations will continue to collaborate closely with the national office and each other. USA Archery will provide templates to aid in generating successful grant applications and is happy to offer one-on-one support to assist states in the planning process as we transition to this model.

This grant program and its application process will give more visibility to State Association initiatives to serve and grow members that can be the shared to all State Associations and State Coordinators. Together, we can champion new initiatives at the grassroots and state level, grow participation across all disciplines, support the development of athletes, coaches, and judges and recognize and reward achievements with increased support.

Most importantly, this new model reflects a collective commitment to enhancing member benefits and improving the sport of archery for everyone. As USA Archery moves toward the 2026 launch of the annual grant program, we are confident that this transition will not only strengthen our State Associations but also create more meaningful opportunities for archers nationwide.

“This is a step forward in uniting USA Archery and our State Associations in a common vision,” said USA Archery CEO Rod Menzer. “While this is a change requiring more thought and planning, we celebrate this change as a milestone in building a stronger, more united archery community—and we look forward to seeing the many ways State Associations will use this support to inspire participation, foster success, improve governance and transparency and grow the sport we all love”.

The grant program underscores USA Archery’s continued investment in grassroots growth, event expansion, and athlete development ahead of the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles.
