Eastman Outdoors Names Mike Bundy as Carbon Express Account Sales Mgr.

Flushing, MI (July 7, 2016) – Eastman Outdoors, Inc., owner of Carbon Express® brand products, today announced the addition of a new team member. Effective immediately, Mike Bundy will be responsible for managing and conducting sales to key accounts like Dunham’s, MC Sports, Big R, Midway, Sportsmen’s Warehouse, Meijer, Tractor Supply and Farm & Ag chains as Carbon Express’ Key Account Sales Manager.

Mike is an experienced sales representative who has spent the majority of his career working for well-known brands in the outdoor space. He has considerable experience working with archery products, having spent 5 1/2 years with Mathews Archery.

Before joining the Carbon Express Team, he worked for Ferguson-Keller covering a considerable territory in the Mid-West and representing many different types of products across many nationally recognized brands – most notably including fishing products, guns, ammo, knives, safes, deer scent, and hunting supplies. Mike also gained experience with Mitch Beene & Associates representing brands in areas like car polish, tree stands, and gun holsters for a large Mid-West territory (Nikon was the #1 brand, toting hunting optics and binoculars in the outdoors space.

Leading Outdoor Manufacturer Deepens Leadership Bench with Sporting Goods Veteran

Flushing, MI (April 29, 2016) — Eastman Outdoors, Inc., owner of Carbon Express® brand products, has announced the appointment of Kevin Berrgren as product manager for its bow hunting division. Effective immediately, Kevin will be responsible for the commercial success of the bow hunting product lines, providing cross-functional leadership and oversight of each product—from inception through design, build and launch—in addition to the overall growth and enhancement of the entire category.

“I see a lot of great things in Kevin’s background—strong go-to-market strategy, requirements gathering and project management—and a strong knowledge of the archery category from a competitive and retail landscape that will further provide a focus strength to the brand relationship with innovative products and marketing that is the cornerstone of our growth stratagy, ” said Lou Riley, President of Eastman Outdoors.

Berrgren, an avid hunter and outdoorsman that has a passion for archery and bow fishing, brings 9 years of progressive experience to Eastman Outdoors in retail and distribution in the sporting and hunting industries. Cabela’s hired him in 2007 and quickly promoted him to the archery category specialist. Berrgren most recently served as category manager for the rifle, shotgun and archery group at Brownells.

Sales agencies were honored for their achievements in the areas of product category and overall sales increases by territory.

“These awards recognize efforts that go far beyond simply hitting the numbers,” says Erik Eastman, Vice President of Business Development. “They entail good management of the territory, superior customer service and consistent and effective product training.”

The following is a list of winners being recognized for their outstanding work:

Salesman of the Year
John Robertson: Robertson received top honors with the Eastman Salesman of the Year award for achieving the highest overall increase of sales in his territory for all of Eastman Outdoors. In addition, Robertson provided double-digit increases in both Carbon Express hunting and target arrows, as well as a significant sales increase in the crossbow category.Arrow Salesman of the Year
Mike Bergeron: Bergeron earned the coveted Arrow Salesman of the Year award with the overall largest increase in arrow sales for 2015.

Brand Category Salesman of the Year
Adam Flod: Flod produced substantial increases in all of Eastman Outdoors categories.

Ryan Nielson: Ryan was presented with this award for opening up the most new dealers in his territory.

Crossbow Salesman of the Year
Brian Cassium: Cassium earned top crossbow honors by producing the largest increase of any sales representative in the crossbows category.
