Position Announcement
Position Title: Events Coordinator
JOB SUMMARY:
The Easton Salt lake Archery Center is seeking a full time Events Coordinator to handle all
aspects of events in the Salt Lake Archery Center.
The successful candidate will be required to work with a wide range of archers, groups and
programs of all levels at the center. A positive attitude, knowledge of archery and a creative
and innovative thinker is necessary to fulfill this position.
CORE RESPOSIBILITIES:
* Plan, service and supervise all aspects of events at the center
* Plan, manage and evaluate the work of subordinates
* Provide leadership for event personnel
* Analyze challenges, identify alternative solutions, and project consequences of
proposed actions and implement recommendations in support of organizational
objectives
* Communicate clearly and concisely in the English language, both orally and in
writing
* Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, contractors and
center users
* Work a flexible schedule, including long nights, early mornings, weekends and
holidays as needed
* Complete all duties with a customer service focus through teamwork and dedication
to the Foundations principles
* Assist in the advancement of event/shows. Assist in bringing more events/activities
into the center
* Assist in the preparation of the building to meet the requirements of upcoming
events/shows. Assist Building Specialist with anything needed for the center to be
prepared for each event
* Assist with the completion of post-show event settlements
* Create work schedules for events, and delegate assignments and review
performance and results
* Function as a liaison between users of the center and the center staff
* Recommend and evaluate required event staffing levels
* Coordinate communication between building staff and show staff during load in and
load out
* Investigate and resolve event-related complaints in a professional manner ensuring
customer satisfaction
* Coordinate with Building Specialist to ensure that the center is cleaned prior to,
during and after all events to maintain building appearance and increase customer
satisfaction
* Review emergency planning procedures with all events staff for each event
* Create and distribute detailed data / to-do sheets prior to every event
* Serve as Manager on Duty as scheduled, during events
* Assist Archery Center Director, Center Manager with day-to-day operations when
needed
* Become proficient using the center registration program (Rec1) to schedule events
and tournaments. Training will be provided
* Assist in implementing/monitoring safe practices and policies
* Assist Programs Coordinator and/or coaches, or conduct archery instruction
training courses when needed. Work with Programs Coordinator to stay current in
training
* Keep Rec1 calendar/schedule updated
* Travel, as needed, to coaching or management seminars/meetings as well as other
Easton functions requiring support services
* Maintain good attendance
* Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned
REQUIRES THE FOLLOWING KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
* A personality with enthusiasm, charisma and a positive and generous attitude.
* Great customer service
* Be knowledgeable in archery tournament/competition setup and operation or be
willing to learn
* Must have strong organizational and communication skills
* Motivation to advance the Easton mission by holding high standards of
accountability
* Motivation to help and serve others unselfishly with respect, regardless of personal
circumstances within ethical boundaries
* Motivation to advance the abilities of students and staff members by way of
encouragement and educational options available
* Maintain or obtain US Archery coaching certification
* Experience in working with children, adults, and specials needs persons in a public
environment on a daily basis
* Archery background or willing to learn
* Have a valid driver’s license
* Ability to manage other employees, volunteers, contract services, etc. as assigned
* Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Strong customer service orientation and ability to deal appropriately with
confrontational situations
* Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
* Ability to manage multiple projects
PREFERRED SKILLS:
* Event Management experience.
* Proficient in second language viz., Spanish, French, German.
* Proficient in the use of power and hand tools.
POSITION REPORTS TO: Easton Salt Lake Archery Center Manager.

Salary Range: Negotiable – depending on experience.
