Bowtech Archery auctioned off the second bow (serial number CK0002) in its limited edition Chris Kyle “The Legend” series. The auction netted $12,000 for the bow, which has a retail value of $1,099.
The winning bid came from a doctor in Missouri who was moved to participate after seeing Kyle’s widow, Taya, promote the auction during an appearance on the national morning show, Fox & Friends. All proceeds from the auction are being donated by Bowtech to the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation, which supports the families of our military and first responders.
Each bow in the Chris Kyle “The Legend” series has a serial number to commemorate its limited availability. The first bow in the series, CK0001, was presented to Taya Kyle.
“The auction was a tremendous success, and we’re excited that the money raised will allow us to make a significant donation to CKFF,” said Jeff Suiter, Product Marketing Manager for Bowtech. “At Bowtech, we are proud to be associated with this foundation and look forward to continuing to partner with them to help in their great work.”
