Kinsey’s Dealer Show Highlights

The 17th annual Kinsey’s Dealer Show and E-Show took place March 1-3, 2019 in Hershey, Pennsylvania and online. It was hosted at the beautiful and luxurious Hershey Lodge in southeastern Pennsylvania, which feels more like a cozy log cabin than a convention center. This location gives the show an intimate, laid-back atmosphere. Kinsey’s also runs special sales events called “Hot Shows,” which offer sizable discounts on popular products that can make a huge difference in a pro-shop’s bottom line. Some of these exclusive discounts also appeared online during the E-Show if attendees were unable to make the physical show. The Kinsey’s Show is a great opportunity for retailers looking to save money, networking options, and to have fun with impressive entertainment. 

On the opening night, attendees got to unwind, make new friends and have a good time at Game Night, which features a variety of games and activities, as well as another opportunity for exclusive deals. On the following evening, attendees get to experience Dealer Appreciation Night, which features amazing dinner, prizes and a live musical performance. It was kicked off with giveaways from the show’s sponsors, which included Easton, Limbsaver, GoldTip and Feradyne Outdoors. This year, Dealer Appreciation Night hosted Grammy-nominated Thompson Square. 

Like the ATA Trade Show, retailers have a chance to meet face-to-face with manufacturers to see the latest products in person from companies like Feradyne, Vista Outdoor, TenPoint, Plano Synergy, Bear Archery and Easton—to name just a few— and make a sizable increase in their profit margins for the year. More than 250 brands displayed their products this year at the Kinsey’s Show, and it is truly organized to benefit its attendees. 

Kinsey’s hosted educational seminars on the latest trends in the industry. This year, recreational archery was the hot topic. Also, a new partnership with Celerant Technology, will help independent retailers streamline aspects of their shop to better compete with e-commerce. This advanced POS system makes it easy for dealers to do things like placing daily purchase orders and allow them to get involved on the e-commerce side of things by having a web-store on their shop’s website. Another really powerful option is an in-store web-kiosk, which is a great vehicle for special orders.
