MOUNT JOY, PA —  Continuing in its mission to help dealers maximize their knowledge of the archery industry, Kinsey University once again offered two classes of its popular Bow Technician course to a sold-out crowd from April 2–5, 2017 at Kinsey’s headquarters in Mount Joy, PA.

Steve VanZile of the George Chapman School of Archery guided participants through both academic and hands-on training of the skills needed to service bows and turn this service into a revenue-generating business segment. Some of the topics covered included explanation of bow designs and cam systems; cam timing; replacing strings and cables; bow setup and arrow selection; and creating a price structure for service charges. Various bow tuning and adjustment methods also were covered at length.

Participants completing the course gained Bow Technician certification. This is a boon to both shop owners and customers, allowing for increased confidence in a technician’s knowledge and skill.

Classes are being planned for the 2018 calendar year and are open to all retailers with a Kinsey’s account. Check KinseysInc.com/university for details.
