Buyer Day at the 2020 ATA Trade Show

The ATA is now hosting an all-new Buyer Day at the 2020 ATA Trade Show. This day is exclusively for those who plan on buying, allowing exhibitors to focus on filling out orders.                                                                     

Buyer Day

Buyer Day is exclusively for those who hold a yellow buyer badge as well as the exhibitors. This day will be held on the first day of the Show, January 9th.  This special day ensures that buyers and manufacturers can center their efforts on writing orders, business planning, and evaluating new products for the first 9.5 hours of the three-day Trade Show.

The Last Two Days of the Show

The Show floor will be open to press, buyers, exhibitors, sales reps, state agencies, as well as all non-exhibiting categories including manufacturers, non-profit, government, suppliers, media sales and guides/outfitters the following two days of the Trade Show, January 10-11th. As usual, the Show will continue to be a business-to-business show and will not be open to consumers at any time.

Opportunity for Change

The ATA Board of Directors approved this change in April after reviewing post-Show surveys. Most of the ATA members were in favor of this new change and are excited to see the outcome. It is expected to majorly improve business interactions and alleviate the stress and pressure that comes with attempting to fill out orders.

This will be an opportunity to get most of the business aspect done upfront, allowing attendees to spend the rest of the Show checking out the new technology and gear.


Retailers will be offering certification courses, networking opportunities and educational experiences at seminars, Coffee Talks and hands-on demonstrations. Buyer day is an opportunity to eliminate all distractions to improve sales and marketing efforts to those who are most interested. It is expected to generate more business making the Show more productive for retailers.


Exhibitors are creating special incentives that will promote orders on Buyer day such as giveaways, best pricing of the year, etc. The ATA will also be giving away $5000 all three days to a retailer who spends $5000 at the Show.

Register for the Show

Everyone planning to attend the ATA Trade Show needs to register beforehand and must wear their badge. Register to ensure you secure your spot and plan your trip. Don’t miss the endless opportunities that will take place January 9-11th.
