Michiana Archery has over 45 years of experience in archery excellence. Their shop was established in 1972, and the current owner took over in 2016. The shop occupies a 6,000-square-foot facility with about 3,000 square feet dedicated to the range. The range holds 20 lanes that go out to about 20 yards. Michiana Archery employs four full-time and three part-time employees as well as multiple volunteers and interns. The internship program is unique to Michiana Archery for young people who want to work towards equipment and help with their membership. Many of them become “junior instructors.” They become able to impart things they’ve learned to others.
This shop offers Olympic recurve bows, compound target bows, crossbows, traditional longbows, bowfishing equipment and beginner bows. They carry popular brands such as Hoyt, Mathews, Mission, Genesis, PSE, Elite, Bear, Ravin, Excalibur, Easton, Gold Tip, Black Eagle and Carbon Express. Michiana is proud to be one of only five authorized dealers in the U.S. for Win & Win Archery. They keep a stock of all achery equipment you could need, and offer to order products if it isn’t available in store.
About two-thirds of their annual revenue comes directly from equipment sales while the remainder comes from other services they provide. Michiana offers archery lessons for all skill levels and repair and technical services. This shop has USA Archery certified instructors that teach both private and group lessons. They also provide equipment rentals to use on their range and welcome scout troops and groups, Pathfinders, American Heritage Girls, school programs and more. This shop is also home of the Notre Dame Archery Club and IUSB Archery Club.
Michiana Archery strives to get more memberships and more people engaging with the shop on a regular basis. Their goal is to get more people coaching, shooting competitively and increasing the internship program. They work extremely hard on their online presence with a better website and improved ecommerce. Michiana anticipates continued growth and values customer satisfaction.
